CS Central Granulator CS-2248 Electrical 460 Volt (Feed Openings 22" x 48") Soundproofed Staggered Rotor: "Staggered open type" made of 8000 Series High Alloy Steel Heat treated and hardened for long ife. Rotor knives made of hc/hc D2 alloy steel 3X3 = 9 rotating knives. Knives have the opti-angle cutting design, for tough applications. Rotor rpm is 650 with a 22" diameter cutting circle. Off set chamber to accept large bulky parts.Rotor End Disc: mounted on each end of the rotor and recessed into the heavy duty end plates. Made of alloy steel and hardened for long life. The disc minimizes heat buildup, eliminates excessive wear on the rotor shafts and end plates. Also protects bearing from contamination. Unsuppressed cleaning ability. Cutting Chamber: water cooled chamber made of heavy steel plate. End plates are 2 3/8" thick, and have the hardened inserts 48/52 rockwell "C", where the rotating end disc fit into. This prevents excessive wear on rotor and end plates. Bed Knives: two rows of bed knives three to a row. Total of 6 to a set. Made of hc/hc AISI D alloy steel double edge for longer life and hardened to 56/58 Rockwell "C" Bearings: The rotor bearings are high load rating double row spherical roller type with a 150mm (5.906) bore. The bearing housings are made for precision fit, and are "water cooled" to keep bearing cool in extreme operating conditions. Screen: the two piece screen is made of wear resistance steel and rolled to fit in the swing down cradle. The holes are drilled 7/16" to reduce stress which causes screens to crack. Screens are easily removed with no special tools required. Feed Hopper: Made of double wall heavy steel plate, 22" X 48" feed opening and is designed to be manual or conveyer fed. Has a hydraulic hopper opening device, with safety interlocks. Flywheel sheave: made of solid steel, and has a "Conical taper" to fit rotor shaft. Flywheel weight is 700 lbs. Rotor Motor: 100HP 3-60-230/460 volt Drive: "V" Belts (6) "C" type Discharge: transition for blower to convey regrind to cyclone separator or silo for storage. Discharge tube is 10" O.D. Electrical Components: 3 tamperproof safety switches wired into NEMA 12 enclosure. Base: has six heavy duty leveling pads. Floor Plan: 72" wide x 83" Deep 129" OAH Throughput Capacity: up to 5000 lbs/hr using a 7/16" diameter hole screen. Approximate weight: 16500 lbs. |
